We are looking for assistance in finding and completing grant applications that support our mission and vision statement. Assist with defining a company-identified community problem and defining the scope of a corresponding project. Develop a needs statement that characterizes the community problem and justifies the need for our project and funding. Identify potential sponsors and funding opportunities that are a good fit for our organization and project. Source funding for existing programming.
Marketing Google Ads & Website SEO
Utilize the $10,000 a month Google Ad grants for our Charity in order to attract new visitors to the website and reach new audiences that would benefit from our services.
Operations Assistant
We are looking for students who can help us with our day-to-day operations at Odihi—working with the founder to help us continue to make an impact. We need someone with great attention to detail and experience with partnerships, sponsorship and community building/outreach. We are looking for two individuals who would be able to run our programs and source out venues for workshops and partners we can work with to continue delivering accessible educational resources to our members. Someone with Microsoft skills, google suite and (CRM experience) is a bonus but not required. Great with filing and organizing, administration, securing funding and researching grants and opportunities available to us and our charity. We will love to hear from you if you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, superb organizational abilities, superb interpersonal abilities, and outstanding interpersonal skills. The operation Assistant will act as second in command to the Executive Director.
Strategic Outreach Planning
To impact more people throughout BC and Canada with our programs, we need assistance developing an outreach process. We would like to equip our team with a plan that guides them in researching new partners, identifying key stakeholders, and reaching out with compelling messages. We would like you to create a simple step-by-step strategy for prospecting in our target market and increase revenue generation as a newly transitioned Charity from NFP.
Digital Content Creation
We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. Odihi is a BIPOC-led charity that is dedicated to advance education by providing leadership training programs and self esteem training sessions to Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) women and girls and to address and prevent problems faced by BIPOC women and girls. Odihi means “the essence of greatness”, and this mantra drives our organization’s mission to help marginalized people achieve both personal fulfillment and professional success. Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools. Workshop Lead
In the fall 2021 and Spring 2022 we will be running multiple programs and will be looking for people to assist with contacting schools, organizations and sharing the programs with them and help increase participation. Topics include: Financial Literacy Entrepreneurship (6 week course) Gaming Robotics Mental Health We are looking for people to lead these workshops as well as bring any ideas/topics that you would wish to share with our Black women and girls.

Social Media Intern
Postions available: 1 Our team is looking for a social media marketing wizard who can help us drive more traffic and improve our SEO positioning. The primary project requirements include: Keyword analysis to determine relevant search terms to our organization A strategy document to outline: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) requirements to ensure our organization appears on the first page of Google for relevant keywords Social media requirements to increase the number of followers/likes and share Content Calendar Execution: Timely deployment of all our social media content to drive maximum traffic to our site Creating engaging content for prominent media websites Working with tools and programs such as, Canva and Hootsuite. We’re excited to work with students who can help us not only brainstorm, but also execute a strategy to achieve: Being the top-ranked result for the keywords 'Black female empowerment'. This is a great project for students to prove their digital marketing expertise to future employers, as the impact of their work on this project can be easily measured and communicated.
