Founded in 1956, the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) is an association of nonprofit independent colleges and universities, state-based councils, and higher education affiliates that works to support college and university leadership, advance institutional excellence, and enhance public understanding of independent higher education’s contributions to society.
CIC is the major national organization that focuses on providing services to leaders of independent colleges and universities and state-based councils. CIC offers conferences, seminars, publications, and other programs and services that help institutions improve educational quality, administrative and financial performance, student outcomes, and institutional visibility.
CIC and Riipen have joined forces in a multi-year work-based learning initiative to benefit 25 member institutions. This collaboration will integrate work-based learning opportunities into up to 375 courses led by 125 faculty members and impacting up to 11,250 students.

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from Lindenwood University Digital Marketing class to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the term (8 weeks), connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience: major topics within digital marketing with a focus on analytics, but also including advertising, SEO/SEM, elements of html and landing page optimization, e-mail marketing and current best industry practices. What can our learners do for your company? Learners in groups of 3-4 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis. Project activities that learners can complete may include, but are not limited to: 1. Understanding KPIs and which are important for strategy and reporting. 2. Devise digital marketing strategies 3. Apply digital knowledge in marketing situation

This experience is designed for learners who have engaged in classroom observations and participation at Creswell Elementary School, focusing on the use of Zearn instructional materials. Learners have developed skills in observing and supporting students under the guidance of classroom teachers, and have maintained detailed reflection journals. These experiences equip learners with the ability to apply educational strategies and insights to real-world projects, enhancing instructional methods and student engagement.

Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience will explore planning, organization and control. Examines how systems work, role of internal communication, flow, content, interpretation of messages, problem-solving, avoiding communication breakdowns, changing attitudes, motivation, leveling, interpreting management’s point-of-view. Investigates internal and external types of communication, dyads, interviewing and counseling, selling and persuading.
