Details

The goal of this project is to develop an efficient paint management and ordering system that automatically tracks inventory and places new orders. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

- Analyzing existing inventory data and customer orders.

- Developing a software system to track inventory and place orders.

- Optimizing software runtime performance and assessing areas for improvement.

- Researching other variables that can improve the efficiency of the system.

- Accounting for additional variables in the software system.

- Testing the developed software and making improvements based on additional data.

Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

- Understanding of existing inventory data and customer orders.

- Understanding of variables that affect the efficiency of the system.

- Identification of areas for future improvement of the software.

Bonus steps would include:

- Testing the developed software with users and accounting for additional parameters

Final deliverables should include

- All source code.

- A written report explaining the design process and outcomes.

Mentorship

Our comprehensive training plan for the Paint Management System Optimization Student role is meticulously designed to provide a structured and hands-on learning experience. During the onboarding phase, they will receive a detailed introduction to our company's mission, values, and the crucial role they will play in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our paint management systems. We will equip them with extensive documentation encompassing paint management processes, automation technologies, and technical resources essential for understanding our systems. To foster their development, they will have the privilege of working closely with our experienced team members who will serve as mentors, offering guidance, insights, and practical expertise in paint system optimization, process automation, and industrial engineering. Additionally, we recognize the value of external perspectives, and the student will have the unique opportunity to connect with external professional mentors specializing in paint system management and optimization. These mentors will provide additional insights and help broaden their knowledge, ensuring a well-rounded skillset in paint system optimization, process improvement, and industry best practices.
